After earning the Abitur, Fredy initially did not know what profession to take up.
He now worked full-time in his father's livestock business.
"He didn't go easy on me, he always thought, my son, he has to do this much better than anyone else. Getting up early in the morning, going to the cattle markets, working in the barn, going with my father to buy cattle in northern Germany or Bavaria. That was half a year where I was completely exhausted on many a Saturday evening. At some point, I made it known to my father that I wanted to study."
He began studying to become a business administrator. But the prospect of later having a boss on the job who behaved similarly to his father made him realize, "I don't want that."
