In the fall of 1980, Dr. Kahn opened his doctor’s office in Nagold.
Through the religious education of his children by Jewish teachers, the family's connection to the Jewish community in Stuttgart also grew closer.
Fredy Kahn became interested and involved in the Jewish kindergarten and the religious education of school children and was eventually elected to the three-member board of the Jewish Religious Community of Württemberg.
During his board membership, the Jewish old people's home in the state capital was built.
