Their large house with garden meant too much work for Zipora and Hillel in their old age. They moved to a city apartment in Nahariya, a few kilometers from Shavei Zion, where one of their daughters lived.

Hillel passed away in 2012. Zipora followed him in 2019. Both are buried in Nahariya.
