Staatsarchiv Sigmaringen

Ilse's father, Wilhelm Wälder, was released from the December 28, 1938, from the Dachau concentration camp.
His cattle trading business was forcibly closed. Every week he had to report to the town hall in Rexingen.

From his savings he had to pay 10.750 Reichsmark as so-called "Judenvermögensabgabe".

The family had hardly any means left to cope with daily life
