Inge with other Jewish children in Göppingen in 1939 in front of the ghetto house for Jews at Metzgerstraße 16. All the children in this photo, except Inge, were deported to Riga in 1941 and murdered there.

Inge was not allowed to go to the general elementary school in Göppingen but had to attend the first grade in the Jewish school in Stuttgart. This meant for her a daily train ride to Stuttgart - in the beginning her father was still allowed to accompany her.
