Grandfather Münz died in 1940 in Wiesenbronn.
Simon and Martha Fröhlich managed to move to Rexingen, on the edge of the Black Forest. Here Auguste, Simon's mother, lived alone in her house. Simon and Martha wanted to take care of her and go on with their departure to Palestine.
But all efforts failed. In late November 1941, Martha and Simon Fröhlich were deported to the Jungfernhof concentration camp near Riga.
In August 1942, Auguste Fröhlich was deported to Theresienstadt and subsequently murdered in Treblinka.
