On the night of the pogrom, windows were smashed in the houses of Jewish families in Wiesenbronn. In the Krämer textile store, the shop windows were beaten in, the goods were dragged onto the road and then burned on a field.
On the village square, a big doll was hung up on a gallow. It carried a sign with the names of residents who still associated with Jews. The doll was burnt under lots of shouting.
Jakob's father and the last Jewish community leader Sali Heippert were deported to the Dachau concentration camp. Sali Heippert died during a nocturnal roll call.
