At the invitation of the city of Hechingen, Manef and Chanah Biran, together with Joel Eppstein and his wife, visited Hechingen in 1986. Even though the stay involved pain and sadness, it was also a special and beautiful experience. Manef Biran remembered his old home in Hechingen with pleasure.

In 1988, after 40 years of membership, Manef and Chanah Biran left Kibbutz Hama'apil and settled with their daughter Anat in Kibbutz Kfar Ruppin.
At the age of 75, Manef Biran died in Kfar Ruppin on May 8, 1996.
