In Stuttgart, Sally met Ruth Lang from Süßen near Göppingen, a fellow Riga survivor. Ruth's parents had been murdered in Riga. Ruth and Sally married and emigrated to the USA in 1946. They settled in Baltimore and had two boys. Sally Lemberger worked as a butcher. His two boys became rabbis.
After his wife's death, Sally did a long interview with author Mimi Schwartz, whose father was also from Rexingen. All his quotes in this presentation are from this conversation. Sally never returned to Rexingen. He died in 2009.
