After finishing her school education, Trude Schwarz worked as an intern at the Friedrich-Luisen-Hospice in Bad Dürrheim at the edge of the Black Forest until the end of August. She wanted to become a kindergarten teacher.
The well-managed Friedrich-Luisen-Hospice was a rest home for Jewish children that existed from 1912 until the fall of 1939. After that it was forced to shut down by the National Socialist government.
